FLARE, BABY

Yep. Curly hair = back on the farm. I most certainly didn’t wear these clothes all day. I mean, I am on the farm… and it would be kind of impractical (only because is damn hot – I would actually totally do it). BUT I am one of those people who have to wear something as soon as I buy it. The fact that these pants and shirt has been in my cupboard for 2 days without being taken for a spin is completely out of the ordinary. So I asked my mom to help me with some photo’s for…

8 THINGS ABOUT TODAY

When I start writing a post, I usually list whatever I like to say, just to get it out of my mind and onto the page. Then I would format everything nicely into a story and try to be a little funny. Today I kind of like this list thing and I am going to leave it just the way it is. Also, it’s easier to read, since we are all a little lazy to read (admit it). So, ja. Here they are: 8 things about today. 1. Sometimes taking inspiration from your pre school hairstyle pays off. Today I…

JEANS ON THE REG

Jeans, tee and sneaks. The classic combo and also my go-to combo. ESPECIALLY if your jeans are as comfortable as your mom’s couch and hugs you like your boyfriend should. Like mine (from Zara) does. For my look and my body, I like a jean with a higher waist, straight leg and not really stretchy – I like it more like a boy’s jean material (not a fan of the jegging). So this was obviously what I wore to spend a full day in front of my computer. But, you know, shit happens and Pierre and I had to drive…

AND NOW, MY SCHOOL SHIRT

Today I literally wore a school shirt. Yes, like those ones you swear you will never ever pull over your head again as soon as you finish your final exam paper. So, I (an adult) have decided to go buy some Toughees school shirts from Ackermans out of my own free will. Let’s be honest. The quality isn’t great. I mean, before washing it with a decent amount of fabric softener, it’s more or less like wearing a box. But, after a decent wash and good iron, a school shirt is the best value money can buy. It gives you…

MY BOYFRIEND’S SHIRT

It’s no secret that I love a white button up shirt. It can be crisp and structured. It can be flowy and soft…depending on how you wear it. I love it even more when it’s my boyfriend’s shirt that I gave him as an anniversary gift, with his initials hand embroidered by me on the left pocket area. (UN)luckily, it’s too small for him, so I get to wear it. No. Shame. At. All. I decided to go for the more crisp and structured look, tucking Pierre’s shirt into my favourite denims and securing it place with a solid belt.…

TEE SHIRT DRESS

Whoever decided to make an oversized tee shirt into a dress knew what’s cooking. I am sure it was kind of accidental, you know, borrowing a boyfriend’s shirt in the dire need of something to wear. But, bless her soul for this great hybrid. I LOVE a tee shirt dress. Especially one that really looks like a massive shirt. Like this one I am wearing. This is normally my go-to when I have no idea what to wear (truth: too lazy to think of something else). I feel like it’s just the perfect base for something edgy and cool. Just…

PLATFORM LOVE

I am a strong, independant woman …who still lets her mom buy her some clothes! Am I the only 25 year old that can say “my mom bought me this”? Well, I don’t really care if I am. I am a little broke and mom knows that. I told her that she is technically investing in my business, you know, this fashion blog of mine. Now she wants to see dividend payouts haha. She’ll have to wait a while. Anyway, she’s a sweetheart. She sent me to town with her card (AND A LIMIT!) so I can buy myself something…
