GIRLS LIKE US | ALISE

I don’t necessarily draw all my inspiration from successful fashion bloggers, designers or celebrities. More often than not, it’s girls I come across through my everyday life that inspire me the most. Obviously through the people that they are, but also through their sense of fashion. I love seeing how girls like to express themselves through what they wear. This in itself is inspiring to me, but what I love the most is how they combine different brands and styles and old and new and hip and classy. Combining Zara with Mr.Price, Mango with Woolworths, Second hand store treasure with…

MUSE |JULIE SARIÑANA | CASUAL BLAZER AND TEE

Julie Sariñana is the ultimate effortlessly chic-cool girl. She started her blog almost 10 years ago and it’s clear why she has made such a success as a fashion blogger. She is the brain, beauty, talent and hard work behind the blog Sincerely Jules and one of the most stylish people I know of. And I am definitely not alone, her 5mil followers on Instagram think so too! She’s just cool. Without trying. She has such a relaxed style (like, I will be featuring her beach style in the future), this is one girl whose closet I can literally live in. Don’t get me…

PLATFORM LOVE

I am a strong, independant woman …who still lets her mom buy her some clothes! Am I the only 25 year old that can say “my mom bought me this”? Well, I don’t really care if I am. I am a little broke and mom knows that. I told her that she is technically investing in my business, you know, this fashion blog of mine. Now she wants to see dividend payouts haha. She’ll have to wait a while. Anyway, she’s a sweetheart. She sent me to town with her card (AND A LIMIT!) so I can buy myself something…

AND IT WAS CALLED "YELLOW"

I am very into flowy clothes these days. The comfort and femininity just appeals to me on every level. I think I have finally moved away from anything skin tight and short. I cringe at the thought of my clothes almost squashing me or pinching me somewhere. I’ll leave that for highschool-Andy. Cotton On has surprisingly great clothes at the moment. I actually got some really nice pants and jumpsuits from them about a week ago and am super impressed with the material and fit. I’ve had some problems with Cotton On’s quality on previous occasions, especially since they are…

I'M BACK!

Hey you. It’s been quite a while. For the past year I have been working as a game lodge manager in the Okavango Delta in Botswana. It had been one of the most incredible experiences of my life, working with the locals, meeting guests from all around the world and then obviously seeing our magical African animals in the wild on a daily basis. My job did however mean that I had to wear “bush colours” in the form of brown, khaki and cream every day, not to mention being dusty constantly (Like, I had to dye my hair seriously…

NOT-A-FASHION-POST

Like I said, I travelled to Bali for two weeks with only a backpack and hand luggage. So it’s no surprise that my outfit details for this particular day was pretty much the same as our first day of travels (which I blogged about here), except my cropped tee was like a khaki green and not white. But, I mean, I was on holiday.. in Bali.. with a super sexy guy (boyfriend). So who cares that I wore the same thing twice. My backpack, though, is totally worth blogging about! Its the Bobby backpack in toffee from Freedom of Movement and I always travel with…

MUSE | JANNI OLSSON DELER | JUMPSUITS

Like I mentioned in my previous post, I am a sucker for a jumpsuit. I love the way I feel beautiful and comfortable at the same time. Janni Olsson Deler is one of my all time favourite fashion inspirations. She as a blog with the same name as her where she posts every single day! Her photo’s are great quality (I mean, she has a husband that Vlogs for a living) and just all around fun. It really doesn’t seem like she takes herself too seriously and you can really see her personality shine through in her images on her blog and Instagram.…
