TRYING A TREND. AND OTHER STUFF.

Ever seen some-one wear two jackets at once? I have. Actually I have seen it being a bit of a trend. So I tried it. I am not sure I pulled the look off exactly how I imagined it, but I think I am halfway there. I’ll try it again sometime, but for now, this is what I came up with. What I figured out: The bottom jacket should have thin-ish sleeves.Mine was a but bulky so the top jacket was a bit tight on the arms. Or the top jacket should just have wider sleeves I guess. The bottom…

JEWELLERY TRENDS I AM LOVING

It seems like the more the merrier is a theme when it comes to jewellery this season.. But, before you get carried away and putting every earring, necklace, ring and charm on your body, just hear me out. Yes, layering your jewellery is a massive hit at the moment, but please babes, choose one TYPE of jewellery to layer at a time. Wearing layered necklaces and putting 4 rings on each hand might become a little much. Choose one. And go for it. Leave the rest of your outfit and accessories quite simple. MESSY LAYERED NECKLACES. This is one of…

MUSINGS

I have to be a very visual person. Something beautiful really warms me up inside. I mean, some-one who really expresses themselves through fashion gives me butterflies. Is that weird? I don’t care. Please allow me to share some things that was I really loved this past while. Like this picture of Candice Swanepoel just being a light. Always such a vibe. Now ladies (and gents?). Read every word in the notes below and thank me later. This is something I screenshot from Constantin Papakonstantinou’s Instagram post. Some-one that I follow shared it on their story and (very unlike me)…

CONCRETE JUNGLE

Since Pierre and I work from home, we sometimes get a little cabin fever when we have been indoors all day. So it’s pretty common for us to just take a walk around our area at the end of the day. Our area is quite interesting. I mean, we have one of the top restaurants in the city (country?) “Fyn” right across the road from us. And just a round the corner we have the Eastern Food Bazaar (incredible food for cheap, just so BTW). We have cute café’s next to small, Indian electronic shops. The police station across Mavericks…

IN GOOD COMPANY

Did you know that we had a little Central Park here in Cape Town? I am talking about the Company’s Gardens (or Kompanjies Tuine, it’s beautiful Dutch name). I vaguely knew about it before, but since moving down here at the beginning of this year into an apartment that literally looks out over the gardens, I have explored it little by little. And not only because walking through it is a short cut to Yours Truly on Kloof Street, because it’s actually quite peaceful and well looked after. Yes, there are still people taking naps on the grass and sometimes…

DOWN TOWN

I did the best thing this week. You know how sometimes you would compliment some-one on their clothes and they would be like “really? I’m actually so tired of this top/jacket/shoes/whatever it may be, but to me it’s something new, different. I know I have things in my closet that I NEVER wear, but what some-one else might love. So, I went to my friend Ashleigh (the incredibly stylish girl I wrote a whole post on here and who has the most incredible wardrobe you can ever imagine). She has a pile of clothes that she’s not wearing anymore, but…
