TIME FLIES

Every year I am broke by the 15thof February. Because it’s after hell-week. Let me explain to you what I mean by “hell-week”: on the 8this my and Pierre’s anniversary (this year was 5 years), then on the 11this Pierre’s birthday and then we’ve obviously got Valentines day on the 14th. So, it really isn’t hell-week, we just like to call it that because it sounds cooler than like “love-week” or something.  We went to Hermanus for the anniversary part of hell-week. We actually really needed the break from the apartment as we work and live and everything there, so…

BIG CITY LIGHTS

Why is it that it can simultaneously feel like January has been the longest month in the history of time and also like it was Christmas like 2 days ago? This year started with a bang and have been like one constant bang for a month (not sure how my metaphor is, but it will do). Pierre and I had our first ultimate lazy Sunday and I forgot how good it feels starting a Monday actually quite rested. Okay, so I say it was a lazy Sunday, which it was, besides my 16km morning run. I decided on this run…

EXPLORING A GHOST TOWN

In my previous post, I mentioned that we popped by Kolmanskop in Namibia and that is was so cool and impressive that I would do a whole other post about it. This is that post. I am getting so excited about this gem of a place (pun absolutely intended. fyi, this is a diamond mining town) as I am writing it. I will have to control myself that I don’t make a whole documentary of the place. In my short life, I have been very lucky to have seen some pretty cool things. But this little ghost town blew my…

FIRST (OF MANY) OF 2019

My first post of 2019. I can’t believe it’s been over a month since I last posted! I have been trying to get around to it for the past like two weeks, but I have had an INSANE time! and yes, I am not exaggerating. What happened in the last month really was insane. As insane as starting your own clothing brand, but more about that in a next post. (Just going to throw a quick warning in here: this is going to be a lengthy post, I just realised I have a hell of a lot to say!) So,…

NOT-A-FASHION-POST

Like I said, I travelled to Bali for two weeks with only a backpack and hand luggage. So it’s no surprise that my outfit details for this particular day was pretty much the same as our first day of travels (which I blogged about here), except my cropped tee was like a khaki green and not white. But, I mean, I was on holiday.. in Bali.. with a super sexy guy (boyfriend). So who cares that I wore the same thing twice. My backpack, though, is totally worth blogging about! Its the Bobby backpack in toffee from Freedom of Movement and I always travel with…

ALWAYS IN A JUMPSUIT

Yup. If I can choose between anything and a jumpsuit… 99,95% of the time, I choose the jumpsuit. Except when I go shopping. Then a jumpsuit is the WORST! The whole thing off and on again when just trying on the smallest item. And then there’s the dilemma of wanting to try on some shorts and then I have to take a shirt that I don’t want with me into the changing room so that I don’t have to stand outside topless when my fashion advisor (boyfriend) gives the yay or nay. So, no to jumpsuits when shopping (my top…

SIMPLICITY

We all have that one pair of jeans or dress or sneakers that you can wear no-matter-what and just feel good. My version of this is the white striped flowy trousers from Forever New. I feel like I can wear them to the beach with a bikini top or to a fancy event with some heels and a nice top (as long as I don’t mess some tomato sauce or something on them and actually keep them white!) In this case- I wore them scootering around Uluwatu in the morning and strolling through Ubud in the afternoon. I just felt…
